Girl by the Sea

Are you anxious?

Too much stress in your everyday life?

Perhaps so much that it's affecting your physical health, such as having trouble with sleep and digestion?

Are you stuck on the path toward your goals?

Do pessimistic thoughts and dark feelings plague you, and you don't know how to get rid of them?

Are you struggling with self-esteem issues, dreading the challenge, the criticism?

Do you find it hard to stand up for yourself?

Are you hard on yourself? Do you think you can't make mistakes and must always be perfect?

Maybe you don't really know what's wrong; you are just discontent and have that intangible, unpleasant, all-pervading feeling that something is not right.

Imagine,

That you have a secret weapon to deal with stress, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties.

Feel the safety this awareness offers you.

Your soul calms, you sigh deeply, and the tension in your muscles begins to ease.

A voice deep inside tells you that all is well. You are safe. Nothing can harm you. Whatever happened or is happening in your life, you are here now, breathing.

Here and now, there are no right or wrong answers. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to perform. You don't have to behave. You don't have to pretend.

In this space, you can be who you are and express what’s inside you.

And you are not alone. Someone is here with you, holding this safe, warm bubble for you. Someone who sees you, hears you, feels you.

She turns to you with acceptance, compassion, openness, undivided attention, and without judgment. She lets you know that you are important, that what is important to you is important, and that your feelings matter.

This allows you to grant yourself the same gift.

As you give voice to what you feel, think, and experience in this safe space, you suddenly notice that the knots in your stomach have loosened, the tightness in your chest has disappeared, and the weight has lifted from your shoulders.

What was so overwhelming no longer drags you down so much. What seemed hopelessly insurmountable doesn't make you feel so desperate anymore.

The former truth in all the self-flagellating words you used against yourself feels false.

"Sadness + Forever = Despair"
Max Rivers mediator

I know the frustrating, draining feeling of not being in my place. What it's like to spend my whole life waiting to start living.

That there is some hidden treasure inside me that I should bring to the surface and express, but something won't let me. Life, or myself, I don't know.

I know the fear of not being enough. The voices in my head telling me I'm not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, experienced enough, skilled enough. That I don't deserve happiness, success, or accomplishment.

The bitter taste of hopelessness in my mouth as I think about how this is how it's always been and will always be; this is who I am!

I know the anxiety and dread of what if something doesn't work out. What if my whole life fails?

I also know what it's like not to want to struggle, fighting the windmill battle with the stubborn shadows within.

What it's like when a part of me wants to lie down and sleep until the bell rings and I can finally go home.

To lie down and die rather than shovel away with a small spoon the Himalayan-sized mountain of crap I'm stuck under.

I want to live differently!

Suffering is optional

In the name of free will, lying down is an option. If you wish to choose that, you need not spend any more time reading.

In me, thank God, along with the suffering part(s) of me, there was another voice with a deep conviction that lying down would not solve my problems.

It represented the Higher Direction in me, knowing that my existence on Earth had meaning and purpose, which was not to be holed up under a mountain of crap.

Only you can know your purpose and meaning in life, but I am one thousand percent sure it is not anxiety, unhappiness, failure, loneliness, or, in a word, suffering.

Still, many people spend their whole life under the poop mountain, blaming the world and others for it.

Working within the soul is like gardening. Unfortunately, planting flowers isn't enough. The seeds of wisdom cannot take root if the soil is shallow and of poor quality, full of stones, weeds, and their seeds.

These are the holes in the fabric of our self-esteem, our lack of faith, and the stories we believe to be true about ourselves—the negative images and labels we identify with.

Translating messages from the outside world, we decide within ourselves at a young age what we can and cannot become, what is possible for us and what is not, and how the world and other people work.

All of that, just as painful experiences, are inevitably inherent to human life.

We can choose to allow them to cripple us for life.

Or we can choose to process them, heal from them, and become better, brighter, and more prosperous for the experience.

When we dig ourselves out of it and start working on it, crap turns into dung.

Like a good gardener, we can use it to nurture our personality and wisdom, making our lives a wonderfully blooming, lush garden.

How can EFT
help with this?

In clinical EFT sessions, we go through a process that allows your brain to work through traumatic experiences, fears, and emotional difficulties, even if they are from past lives or inherited from your ancestors.

We invoke your body's wisdom to activate your struggle and the emotional energy associated with it. At the same time, tapping on the acupoints and eye movements sends a physiological signal of safety to your body, nervous system, and unconscious.

Things in the present distress you because they remind you of events that your brain—the amygdala and hippocampus that guard your safety—has labeled in the past.

As you tap, your emotional brain—your so-called limbic system—shuts down, and the stress response ceases while you keep the recalled events constantly in your memory.

Releasing the stuck energies of these root experiences, extinguishing their charge, the button that in the present keeps getting pushed over and over again, causing pain, anger, or any other emotional dissonance, disappears.

This re-experiencing of past scenes without physiological stress is the juxtaposition you need to allow the past to be re-imprinted, now without the emotional intensity and physical stress symptoms associated with it.

Dark Wooden Table

Your general problems, be it low self-esteem, anxiety, pessimism, or feeling lost, can be traced back to specific life events.

The prisms through which you view and experience life are rooted in your experiences and in the often unconscious conclusions you draw from them.

Imagine general problems—such as low self-esteem or constant anxiety—as the top of a table. The life events in which they are rooted are the legs of this table.

Slapping the top of the table does not produce results. To eliminate the top, you have to target the legs of the table.

These table legs—our common problems—were not created in a day, so one session is usually insufficient to neutralize all the legs

Often, there are many legs, but thanks to EFT's so-called generalizing effect, if you neutralize the most important ones, the rest will disappear on their own.

Excellent results can be achieved in four sessions by extinguishing the roots of a specific problem (the table legs).

  • In the first, slightly longer 90-minute session, we'll examine how the problem shows up in your life today.

  • In the second session, we go back to the past, to the roots, and do some weeding.

  • In the third session, we continue weeding and, if possible, turn to the future.

  • In the fourth session, we confirm all the liberation and transformation you have achieved.

This is just a roadmap. The EFT method is based entirely on YOU. We go where you and the wisdom of your subconscious take us, moving at the pace you set.

We deal with what wants to be revealed and released, taking as much time as necessary.

I already know that I want to tap away what hurts, what causes anxiety, what holds me back, what keeps me in chains!

You may think you don't want to feel all that could come up. The anxiety. The fear. The anger. The shame. The sadness. The hopelessness. The despair. You may think that connecting with yourself will be painful and upsetting.

This will not happen because the tapping temporarily shuts down your emotional brain. As the physiological cue of safety overcomes fear, all feelings become more tolerable and manageable.

You may think you don't need help, that you don't want someone to tell you what to do, give you good advice, or solve your problems.

You're absolutely right. We can find everything we need within ourselves. Now and then, we need to move a few boulders out of the way to get in touch with our resources.

As a clinical EFT practitioner, I provide you with the necessary space and a lever to move these rocks. My only intention is to connect with you and, in doing so, help you connect with yourself.

I don't analyze you, tell you what is wrong with you, or what you should do differently. I don't put words in your mouth; we use yours as they resonate within you, without interpretation, explanation, or judgment.

You may think you don't need help, that you don't want someone to tell you what to do, give you good advice, or solve your problems.

The causes of our suffering are mental and subconscious patterns and energetic blocks hidden in our cells, which circulate as information in our body and pass along our neural pathways.

It's useless to "manage" things in our head and to keep repeating the positive thoughts in our conscious minds corresponding to 10% of the tip of the iceberg when the underwater, unconscious 90% of it only bellows more vigorously at every such positive statement. It's like trying to build a granite castle on quicksand.

We now know that the unconscious is spread throughout our entire body, which is a wonderful discovery because it means that with body-centered methods, these unconscious contents can not only be accessed but can be dissolved and rewritten!

EFT is one of the most effective ways to do this. Through tapping, we unearth the buried and repressed memories at the root of our present difficulties, release the stuck energy associated with them from our bodies and nervous system, and liberate ourselves emotionally.

You may be thinking, "What if tapping does me some harm?"

EFT has been designated an "Evidence-Based Methodology" because numerous studies over the past twenty years have proved that it works and has no side effects.

Clinical EFT is an empirically validated approach, which means that it uses a standardized, consistent process.

MRI scans before and after treatment show that the link between the stressful memory and the fight-or-flight response in the brain's limbic system is broken.

Once this association is severed, it is usually gone for good.

This is why long-term studies that follow participants long after they have completed EFT therapy sessions find that their recovery is permanent.

Studies have shown that more than 80% of veterans with PTSD are permanently rehabilitated after up to 10 EFT sessions.

Your takeaway—or rather, what you will leave behind

Repeated tapping on the acupoints will release the stuck energy of past experiences from your body's energy system, causing your old worldview to be overwritten by a new one.

Memories won't be "erased" in the sense that they will be canceled. What we extinguish is the emotional stress associated with the memories. You can test this days, weeks, or months after the session by recalling the unpleasant events. The memories are usually still intact but no longer upsetting.

Thus, the "buttons" rooted in them that your environment kept pushing will no longer be there, and you will no longer be upset by what triggered you before.

You'll stay calmer in stressful situations.

You won't worry as much.

You'll respond differently.

During the sessions, you'll tap away what hurts, causes anxiety, holds you back, and keeps you stuck.

As a result, your life energy will flow more freely, your anxiety will decrease, you will breathe more deeply, and you can live your daily life with more ease and balance.

Amanda Wonderland

My mentor at EFT Universe

Hi, my name is Anyez Lorincz; I’m a Clinical EFT practitioner, meditation teacher, family constellations facilitator, and writer.

I help people who feel unhappy, anxious, unfulfilled, and lost in life to make inner peace, unwavering happiness, and purposefulness their everyday experience.

I know all that well. I, too, was at a point where there seemed to be no way out, but I was determined to find it.

And I did. I learned to lift myself by my hair, and today, I live my days with constant joy and gratitude, feeling like champagne bubbling in my chest. I know who I am and why I am here.

Sharing what I learned is my mission because I know there is another option than suffering and that loving yourself and living a life you love is possible.
